It's Been Awhile

Sinus infections and hangovers kind of cancel each other out. I hadn't had a sinus infection for about 8 months. I wonder why I'm getting one now.

I'm watching "Brewster McCloud" and still can't believe it hasn't been released on DVD. It's so delightful. It is everything I could ask for in a film. Thank you, Anthony, for finding this for me!

Awesome things in this movie:
Bud Cort
Shelley Duvall (introducing Shelley Duvall)
Sally Kellerman (and her boobs)
Car chase
Amazing dialogue
Detectives and cops being hilarious
The Astrodome
Texas
The Narrator
Etc.

Acid Folk

Is the new emo.

An Acquired Taste

Acquired tastes are kinda bullshit. All taste is acquired, right? Tom's of Maine toothpaste tastes really bad, but I guess I could make myself like it if I wanted... BUT I DON'T. Arm&Hammer for life, once I finish this natural, hippy shitpaste... unless of course I acquire a taste for it.

I like this movie and I want to make my own chant. Don't steal my ideas.

Buggalo. Kif! Oh monkeytrumpets.

The dream

We ran into each other when I went back to Hard Times because I forgot to pay for my food. You were right behind me when I got to the cash register. I listened to your album that you made. It was really cheezy. You got on the back of my bike and we pedaled out of the city. I felt your weight on my back with every bump in the road. Some of the bumps were snakes of varying patterns. I avoided most of them. We came to the end of the road. There were tall, milky green plants that were 12 feet high. They were being harvested, but the harvest had been postponed. There was a festival. People were playing games. I asked someone for directions. We had missed our turn. Back on my shoulders you go and then I woke up.

New Phase

I was introduced to Os Mutantes four or five years ago. I liked it a bit, but didn't love it. About two years ago I started appreciating them a lot more. In the past few months, I've been listening to a lot of Caetano Velos. And today I downloaded several other Brazilian artists. Yum. It's so warm!

Weekend Update

Go to Lunds and look for a cereal display along the back wall. You will find an incredible deal. Two boxes of Kashi Go Lean cereal with a coupon for a free half-gallon of Silk for only $4.50.

I'm eating a Jack's frozen pizza right now. Too class it up a little bit, I added some Trader Joe's broccoli florets. I decided that twisty-ties and rubber bands are SUPER convenient.

I remembered: Tonic
I forgot: Cucumber and Lime

I hope the guy at the liquor store was happy that I asked for two bottles of wine... One as a "Thank You" and one as a "Sorry" and both for the same person.

My roommates are gone for the night. Too bad I have pizza breath, haven't showered, and have to work in the morning, because I could probably totally find a girl to kiss.

My clothes have been in the dryer for like 3 days. That's been annoying. They're all reddish clothes though: hand towel, Gucci sweatshirt, Gap thermal, pillowcases, underwear, etc. They're all things I can do without for a few days.

Beer

I can't believe so many people drink beer. It doesn't taste very good. It will give you a headache quicker than it will make you have fun. The only good thing about beer is that I don't drink it very fast, so that it lasts for a long time. So, I guess the best thing about beer is that I don't like it. I think I crave beer every couple months -- Heineken, usually.

My coworker got sunburned while skiing in Colorado last week. It looks like he has a beard of blisters.

Tequila and Tobasco are a match made in heaven.

I hope I remember to watch LOST tomorrow.

It's nice when people come back, even if I don't know them that well.
